Identity Verification: How do I verify my identity online?
In order to complete traffic school online the court requires us to verify your identity. Put simply, we need to make sure you are who you say you are as you finish our course. Fortunately, at Ticket Toaster most students can verify their identity entirely online -- without leaving the computer.
To accurately confirm your identity online we use a patented system called eIDverifier. Our ID verification system is one of the most safe and secure methods of confirming your identity online. Hundreds of companies, including Bank of America, Citibank and State Farm Insurance, use eIDverifier technology to securely authenticate customers.
Not All Students Can Verify Their Identity Online
Online verification is free with our course, so we recommend everyone who needs identity verification to try our online system first. Please understand that not all students can use online ID verification. To use the system you must be at least 18 years old and have a social security number that was issued at least 5 years ago. Also, the ID verification system works based on your financial history. For example, the system will check if you have ever had a credit card or gas card, taken out a loan, financed a purchase, bought a house or car, etc. If the system cannot locate any financial history you may need to verify your identity either at a Free Test Center or any Notary Public.
How it Works
Our ID verification system is a three-step process:
- You agree to use online ID verification.
- We ask you to enter your current address.
- If you have lived at a different address within the last 2 years, we will also ask for your former address.
- If you have a different address listed on your drivers license, we will ask for that address as well.
- We ask you from one to six specific questions to confirm your identity.
After you answer your unique questions, we instantly check your responses and verify your address.

The questions we ask are unique to each person and based on your financial history. Here are a couple of examples of the types of questions you would answer:
