Special Disclosure Required by the Los Angeles County Court
The Los Angeles Superior Court requires that home study programs transmit course completion certificates via fax to the corresponding court location on the citation within eight (8) court business hours after successful completion of the course at no additional cost to the student. As long as the student completes the course by his/her traffic school due date, certificates will be processed in a timely manner.
Any "expedited" certificate delivery service (i.e. "rush processing", "overnight processing" or similar service) offered by a school for delivery of the certificate to the court is optional. These services will not aid in clearing past-due course completions. Also, please note that the Court will receive ONLY FAXED certificates from approved home study traffic school programs. Certificates sent to the Court in any other manner (i.e. personal delivery, mail, courier service) from ANY home study traffic school will NOT be accepted.
It is the responsibility of each student to complete traffic school on-time and verify that the Court receives the course completion certificate. The Court requires the school to provide each student, upon successful course completion and at no additional charge, notification of course completion. Keep a copy of this notification. Students should also check the status of their citation online at http://www.lasuperiorcourt.org no sooner than 7-10 business days from the date the student successfully completed the home study course.
Should you experience any certificate delivery difficulties after successful course completion, please contact TVSM at (800) 555-4452 for assistance.
